SPECIAL MEETINGS OF THE BOARD

Special meetings shall be held at the call of the Chairperson or at the call of a majority of the directors whenever deemed necessary.  Notice of all special meetings shall be given to the members of the Board, by the Superintendent or his/her designee, at least twenty-four hours prior to the time stated for the meeting to convene, except in emergency.  Only the specific business on the special meeting agenda may be transacted at a special meeting.

The news media shall be notified of the time, place, and purpose of the special meeting.  Public notice of the meeting will be circulated in the same manner as regular meeting notices. 

Special meetings are open to the public unless convened in executive session.
