This week was an important and busy week for us at KCS.
On Thursday, we welcomed community members into the building for tours. Several fifth grade students helped to guide them around and talked about some of the changes. Our visitors left with only positive comments about the building renovation and the student representatives. We appreciate all the staff and students who helped make those tours a successful event.
On Friday morning, we hosted our Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to celebrate the completion of the construction. Many members of the community joined our staff and students as we cut the ribbon to open our "present" of a newly renovated building. We would like to thank our special guests who spoke: Mr. Stuart Barwise, Chair of the Kennebunkport Board of Selectmen, Mr. Tim Sommers, PC Construction Project Manager, Mrs. Maeghan Lovejoy, parent and School Board of Directors members, and Ms. Barb Belik, President of KCPTA. We hope to post pictures of the event on our website next week.
There are so many people who have worked on this effort for years, and all of those hopes have become a reality. We thank you!
