KES Newsletter - December 19, 2017

Hello KES Families,

With just a couple days left until vacation, I just have a couple things to share….

First, last night the RSU 21 School Board voted to offer a district-wide Public Pre-K program here at KES starting next fall. This program will be open to all students in our district who would turn four by October 15th, 2018. If you have a child who would qualify, or you know someone in our three towns with a four-year-old who might attend, the online registration can be accessed directly from the RSU 21 website. This will be a great opportunity for us to provide children with the kindergarten readiness skills that lead to success. We are very excited about this great news!

We have already begun receiving photos from last night’s “No Homework Night” and we are glad folks took advantage of the opportunity to do something together as a family. If you took a photo of a family activity, please send it to Diane Guay so we can post it on our website!

And finally, Just a reminder that Thursday is a half day for students….We are inviting students to participate in a school-wide “Comfy Clothes Day” that day,  so please help them find their warmest, softest, most fleecy flannels, sweats, or PJs if they like. Just remember, students will still be going outside for recess, so they want to be comfortable, but also dress for the weather. Students will be coming home for the Holiday Break directly following lunch on Thursday with a noon dismissal.

Happy Holidays!

Mr. Quinn
