Maine author/illustrator Chris Van Dusen will be visiting MLD May 18TH. Chris will meet with each of the grades individually in the library. With grades 2 - 5, Chris will talk about the process of creating a book, from first sketches to finished product. Students can bring in any of his books that they own for him to sign on the day of his visit.
Friday, May 18th, the 2nd grade classes will be displaying their Native American projects and reading their reports. Parents are welcome to come to your child's classroom at 2:00pm if you would like to watch the performance.
The 5th grade classes will be visiting Thornton Academy Middle School for Step-Up Day on Monday, May 21st from 9:00 – 10:30am
Kindergarten classes will be having picnic for parents on Thursday, May 24th from 1-2pm. Notices have gone home from both teachers; if you have not returned your form please do so as soon as possible.
The next early release day is scheduled for Wednesday, June 6th. Students will be dismissed at noon.
Students in grades kindergarten through third grade will present a concert on Friday, June 1st at 8:45am in the gym.
Will be visiting ML Day for a workshop with all students during the week of June 4 - June 11.
Field Day is scheduled for Tuesday, June 12th. Rain date for this event will be Tuesday, June 19th.
