The PTG would like to thank everyone for all of their efforts in making this year's Superwalk so successful! We had great participation in returning the pledge envelopes, and with the money raised we'll be able to help MSK by giving funds to teachers for new initiatives, helping to fund field trips, and giving students new opportunities.

To show our thanks, every student will receive a coupon for a free T-shirt at Olympia Sports, as well as 20% off anything there. In addition, one student from each advisory who returned their pledge envelope was chosen at random to receive a gift card to a local business.

Thank you once again for all of your help in raising money for our school!

We still have some athletes without the proper paper work filled out to participate in MSK athletics. Please be sure to fill out the information on Rank One so that your student athlete will be eligible to participate this year. We encourage you to fill out the forms now even if your child doesn’t play a fall sport. The following link will take you to the Rank One site that will give you the directions on what to fill out and how to fill out the form. If the link doesn’t work, copy and paste this into the address bar

Late buses leave the middle school at 4:00/4:05 p.m. every day that school is in session.  Please note that late bus routes are different than regular bus routes and do not make as many stops.  If you have any questions, please call us at 467-8004.

Academic Homework Help has begun and takes place every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday after school until 3:50 p.m. (while school is in session). Late buses are available for transportation home.

THANK YOU to all 8th grade parents and all the volunteers who helped with the BIKE TRIP!!!!  It was a tremendous community event thanks to all of your help!  A special thank you goes to Mr. Gillard for all the bike and helmet loaners.  We had 70 plus parents on the course, water stations and volunteering with us! Thanks also to the parents who cooked, baked and brought in food to share--the Potluck Supper was unbelievable!

MSK's student flu vaccine clinic will be held on October 20th.  Please see the permission form.  This year, the nasal form of the vaccine will not be available.  A policy statement issued earlier this month by the AAP "recommends against the use of the live attenuated influenza vaccine nasal spray this year because it was only 3% effective during the previous influenza season." Therefore, the state is not supplying any vaccine in this form.  If you have any questions, please contact Donna D'Iorio RN at 467-9003.

Snacks are available to purchase every day after school in the MSK cafetorium until 2:15 p.m. Purchases are made through student lunch accounts and meet the smart snack guidelines. Power Snack Packs are only $1.00 and include student choice of 3 items from a selection of foods. Options are available for students who qualify for free and reduced meals.

Our 1st dance is tonight, September 30th. Dances take place from 7pm-9pm and are open to all 7th and 8th graders.  The cost is $5.00 -- refreshments will be available for purchase.
