Mount Major Hike Information
We are very excited for our first annual MSK 8th Grade Mt. Major Hike on Tuesday, October 3rd. This team building trip will give the 8th grade students a common goal and years of lasting memories. Students will have a regular class schedule in the morning before lunch. Following lunch in the MSK cafeteria, we will depart for the mountain. The hike to the Mt. In order to provide a safe and fun experience for our students we will need some parent volunteers to hike, be available for first aid, and cook/ serve at the BBQ. In addition, we are looking for many BBQ items to be donated. To help and/or donate please visit Signup Genius. In order for us to get an accurate inventory prior to the trip, please bring in your BBQ donation during the week of 9/25- 9/29.
Parents, if you are interested in carpooling with other parents, please connect via the Facebook group “2017 MSK Mt Major Hike” or inquire to firstname.lastname@example.org about bus space.
In order for your son or daughter to participate, we need updated health information. Please be sure that you have completed the health survey that was sent out via email on September 12th. This information will be used for this and all future field trips.
The rain date for the hike is October 11th. In the event that the trip needs to be cancelled, an email will go out with directions for signing back up to volunteer.
