Dear RSU 21 Community,
We want to inform you of a situation that is currently being handled with an abundance of caution at Kennebunk High School. The school received a concerning phone call today and, following our standard safety protocols, implemented a hold-in-place procedure.
You may notice an increased presence of police personnel at our schools today as an extra precautionary measure. Our students and staff are safe, and classes are continuing as normal.
This appears to be related to a series of similar calls that have been reported at other schools throughout Maine and across the country. Our law enforcement partners have assessed this situation and have found no credible threat to our school community.
Our administrative team is following all established safety procedures.
