Food and Nutrition Services

Welcome to the RSU #21 School Nutrition website. We are committed to provide our students with healthy and tasty breakfast and lunch everyday. We strive to serve our students the most wholesome, fresh, nutritious food to nourish their minds and bodies, so that they are ready to learn each and every day. Our meals are in compliance with nutrition standards set by the United States Department of Agriculture and contain a variety of items, including fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and milk. They must meet the requirements for calories, fat, protein, calcium, iron, vitamins A and D. Calories are based on the age group of the school. The nutrition content of meals are based on the menu as written, not on what any one student chooses. We encourage you to review menu selections with your children and encourage them to choose a colorful plate.

We have a friendly hard-working staff that is always happy to welcome you into their cafeterias. Our meals are served with a smile, highly acceptable to students, tasty and prepared in a safe manner. All of our staff take a basic nutrition course and sanitation course.

We purchase local foods as much as possible and participate in the Harvest of the Month program. Menus are published monthly. Please look for our special events and theme days.

Meals are at no cost to students this school year. We do encourage you to complete a free and reduced application if your income falls within the guidelines. These are the income guidelines by family size Income Guidelines.  You may complete an application online: https://family.titank12.com/ or request a paper application from your childs’ school.
