Transportation

The Transportation Department at RSU 21 is committed to the safe and reliable transportation of all RSU 21 students. The 55 person staff includes 33 Bus Drivers, 17 Bus Aides, two Mechanics, two Office Staff members and a Transportation Manager.

We operate and service more than 40 school buses, seven special transport vans and a fleet of maintenance trucks/other equipment to sustain school district operations. All Bus Drivers maintain a Class B Commercial Driver's License with Passenger and School Bus endorsements.

New drivers are trained to the latest State and Federal licensing requirements using our in house training program. The training program leverages an onsite instructor, a training lot designed to mirror state testing and computer based modules to teach the latest theory (bookwork) portions.
