KES Newsletter - November 3, 2017

Hello KES Families,

Happy Friday! I’m glad to hear that most of you now have power back. The lights came back on in my neighborhood on Tuesday night. If any of you are still without power, you are welcome to come shower at KES this weekend. Just shoot me an email and I will meet you here and let you in.

It has been brought to my attention that the Sign Up Genius link that I sent out last week for Italian Night at KES was for volunteering rather than making a dinner reservation. Please consider making a reservation to dine with us this coming Wednesday night by using the link below. KEPTA is working with our 3rd graders to continue our support for Wreaths Across America and Honor Flight. There are three seatings to choose from and The KES Kids Chorus will provide the entertainment that night….Please come join us for Spaghetti and Meatballs!

We have recently begun our Square 1 Art project here at KES. Individualized catalogs highlighting each student's art will be coming home, and will even include a free sheet of stickers. Once again you will be able to purchase your child’s original artwork on several types of household items. This year funds from Square 1 Art will benefit wounded warriors. The items you will be able to order make great holiday gifts for everyone in the family, so please consider doing your shopping with us this year!

With the holiday season approaching, you will be hearing about lots of opportunities to help support different causes. We are currently helping three former KES students who now attend MSK with their desire to help send Christmas gifts to children in Puerto Rico, following the recent hurricane devastation. We have a box in the lobby at KES to drop new, unwrapped toys in, which will be sent to Puerto Rico.

I also wanted to let you know that Cub Scout Pack 302 is sponsoring Chikara Pro Wrestling at Kennebunk Elementary School on Friday November 17th at 7:30pm. The Scouts will be receiving a portion of the tickets sales and concessions. To purchase tickets or further information please contact David Sharp at For more information about the the show please visit:
Ticket prices start at just $20 and children 12 and under are free with a paying adult (free child ticket applies to general admission only and one free ticket per paying adult.)

Just a reminder that all adults at KES wear an identification badge down in the academic wings of our building. if you are volunteering, substituting, or visiting classrooms please check in at the front office and pick up a badge. We want to make sure we can account for everyone in our building in the event of an evacuation. Thank you for your support with this!
