KES Newsletter - June 15, 2018

Hello KES Families,

I hope you are well today. It has been a busy and exciting week here at KES. We started with two full days of Bounce House activity on Monday and Tuesday for 2nd and 3rd Graders...there were lots of happy red faces coming out of the gym those days.  I want to thank everyone who attended so many of our family events this week including the Pre-K Ice Cream Social on Monday, Third Brade Breakfast Theater on Wednesday, Flag Day and the Cookout on Thursday, and our Big Farewell this morning. Special Thanks to Ed Sharood and his students at KHS for the wonderful gift of 6 beautiful new picnic tables that have already been placed on the KES Courtyard. And congratulations to all of our newly inducted Junior Rangers!

For the coming week, we are pushing Field Day from Monday to Wednesday due to the  forecast which calls for 92 degrees and humidity on Monday. Thank you to all of the parent volunteers who have changed their plans to be with us on Wednesday instead. The 2nd Grade Breakfast Theater is still scheduled for Tuesday starting at 9:00am. Just a reminder that next Friday, June 22nd, is the last day for students with a noontime dismissal.

A note from nurse Brown...If your child has medication in the nurse's office, please make arrangements with her or come in on or before the last day of school to pick this up. Any medications that are not picked up by June 25thwill need to be disposed of.

It is hard to believe the end of the school year is here! I hope to see more of you in the days ahead, and please stop by and visit Mrs. Mattuchio and myself over the summer if you are in the neighborhood!

Have a great weekend, and Happy Father’s Day to all of our KES Dads!

Mr. Quinn
