KES Newsletter - September 7, 2018

Hello KES Families,

I hope you are well. I just wanted to let you know what a great first week our students have had here at KES. Having Pre-K and Kindergarten join us yesterday has made our school community complete, so we are all very excited and happy at how great our students have acclimated to the new school year. I have had the pleasure of bringing our new School Counselor, Kelly Wright, and our new School Resource Officer, Audra Higgins, to the students in each classroom, here at KES. The kids had lots of great questions for them both and I look forward to your having an opportunity to meet these wonderful new KES staff members as well.

For those of you who chose to pick up your child yesterday, I apologize for the longer-than-usual wait. That is always the case during the first days of school, but it will tighten up over time. For families who are new to KES, there is generally a 30 minute wait when picking students up in the pick up line, so I encourage everyone to access the free bus transportation our district offers when possible.

I also want to encourage parents to send in a note anytime your child has end-of-day plans that differ from their regular plans. Teachers send those notes to the office, so the front office can be aware of any changes. If you choose to email this kind of information, please send it to both the classroom teacher and Mrs. Mattuchio in the front office.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you or your child adjust to the new year.

Yours in Education,

-Mr. Quinn
