Hello KES Families,
I hope you are all well today! Our first week back from April Vacation has been a relatively quiet one, so I only have a couple messages for you that I was asked to pass on, but first I just want to thank KPD officers Mark Carney and Rebecca Parker for joining us at Friday Morning Meeting today to launch our last Character Trait for the year…”Integrity”. I can’t think of a better match to talk to our students about “Integrity” than our own local heroes in blue. Please thank them when you see them for the great support they provide for our schools.
And I want to thank the KHS students who are part of the Tri-M Honor Society. They each shared a little information about their instruments with the children this morning and they performed several songs together as an ensemble.
This coming week is ‘Screen Free Week,” a nation-wide initiative to encourage kids and adults to take a break from screens and do other activities. Please see the flyer below for more information, and take a break from screens!
I have messages to share from both the KES PTA and the SRS PTA:
KEPTA is looking for a third member of its governing board. If you’re interested in giving back to the school, our teachers & kids, it is a terrific way to get involved! Anyone interested should email email@example.com or message KEPTA at Facebook.com/groups/kepta
SRS will be seeking 2-3 board members for the PTA for the 19/20 school year. At a minimum we need a president and treasurer. If you have even a small amount of interest I encourage you to contact Angie Morin or Rebecca Axelsen personally or email SeaRoadSchoolPTA@Gmail.com They would be happy to talk to you about the responsibilities. Detailed information will be left to the new board to facilitate a smooth transition and Angie will be available for consultation through the school year next year.
And finally, there are four boys from MSK hosting a LEGO Robotics event at MSK this Saturday (April 27th). They are fundraising to attend the International FLL Cup. Please see the attachment below for more information. And have a great weekend!
Yours in Education,
