Since 2008, MSK has been an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, implementing the IB MIddle Years Programme (MYP) for all students in grades 6-8. During that time, we have made changes in how we plan, teach, and learn.

This year we are involved in a self study of our program. Every five years IB schools are required to conduct this review. The purpose of the self study and accompanying evaluation visit is to reflect on our progress as an IB World School in order to improve the program for our students and community

So far this year, teachers have been working on writing and refining their MYP units and coordinating subject group overviews. During the winter of 2018, we will conduct a parent survey to ask for feedback on MSK’s implementation of the IB MYP program.  Additionally MSK’s IB coordinators will attend the PTG meeting on January 11, 2018 to hear feedback and answer questions about the program and self study.  Your feedback is valuable, and we look forward to your input throughout this process.

The Sebago Team is pledging to make the holidays special for teens and adults who need a warm blanket this year.  With your help students are planning to make polar fleece blankets. What they need from our parents and the community is 3 yards of polar fleece material or a small donation of funds to purchase the material. Help us make this a warm and happy holiday for those in need. Please contact or cdalton@rsu21 for more information.
