Kennebunk High School Theater presents "As You Like It." A modern musical adaptation of Shakespeare's classic comedy by Shaina Taub & Laurie Woolery. Performances are: March 9 and 10 at 7:30 pm, and March 11 at 2 pm in the KHS auditorium.
Tickets for all RSU 21 students are free at the door. These free tickets must be claimed, in person, on the same day as the performance. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come-first-served basis, while supplies last. 6TH GRADE TRIP TO BOSTON - MARCH 16TH
The sixth grade teams will be going to Boston Museum of Fine Arts on Friday, March 16th. Students will return at 3:00 pm and can be picked up upon return. Students also have the option of taking the late bus at 3:45 pm.
HARLEM SUPERSTARS COME TO KHS - MARCH 19TH
The Harlem Superstars will be at Kennebunk High School on Monday, March 19th for a game to be held at 6:00 pm in the KHS Gym. The tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students. This is a fundraiser to benefit the KHS Student Council. A few of the “Superstars” will be visiting MSK during lunch to talk to our students as well.
8TH GRADE IB COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECTS:
All 8th grade students at MSK participate in a “Community Project” as a culmination of their International Baccalaureate experience at MSK. Students are allowed to select groups and work to identify a need in the community that matches a personal area of interest. During this year long, self-directed undertaking, students work to plan and implement a project that will impact the area of need they have identified. Listed below are some current projects we would like to share.
BLOOD DRIVE-MARCH 19TH
As their community service project, Maura Ragnarsson and Lola Cook are hosting a blood drive with the American Red Cross on Monday, March 19th from 2:00-7:00 pm in the MSK gym. If you or a family member can donate blood please spread the world and donate! Thank you for supporting our eighth grade community project. Please see the attached flyer.
SPECIAL SURFERS ORGANIZATION
Ashley LaRoche, Ashley Medina and Juliauna Tadlock are having a bake sale at the blood drive on March 19th from 2-7pm. They are raising money for the special surfers organization and are trying to reach a goal of $750. Please stop by if you are able and help them support kids with special needs who would like to get out and learn to surf! ANIMAL WELFARE SOCIETY
Lizzy Howard and Arianna Fourtzialas-Price are collecting items for A.W.S. If you would like to help out our furry friends, there is a box outside of the main office for your donations.

Academic Homework Help typically takes place every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday after school until 3:50 p.m. Please remember that this is an academic assistance program and not meant as an after school care program. Late buses are available for transportation home.
AFTER SCHOOL SNACKS
Snacks are available to purchase every day after school in the MSK cafetorium until 2:15 p.m. Purchases are made through student lunch accounts and meet the smart snack guidelines. Power Snack Packs are only $1.00 and include student choice of 3 items from a selection of foods. Options are available for students who qualify for free and reduced meals.
SECOND CHANCE BREAKFAST
The MSK cafe offers 2nd chance breakfast between 1st and 2nd blocks in the main lobby for any student who would like to purchase a breakfast meal or snack. We offer grab and go meals with cereal or breakfast items for $1.75 or free if you qualify for free or reduced meals.
CLYNK bags are available at the office with tags already applied. THIS IS AN EASY WAY TO HELP MSK RAISE FUNDS BY RETURNING YOUR BOTTLES AND CANS USING THE CLYNK PROGRAM. To redeem bottles and cans: Fill the CLYNK bags, take your bags to any Hannaford, then scan each bag with the hand scanner and place your bags inside the unlocked door at any Hannaford/CLYNK bottle return location. Your bottles and cans will be sent to CLYNK to be counted and a credit will be applied to our MSK CLYNK account to be used for student support. A variety of clubs start up at different times throughout the school year depending on student and staff interests. Below is a list of current clubs. 6TH GRADE MATH TEAM

7TH & 8TH GRADE MATH TEAMS

MathCounts is a more intense and advanced math team experience that meets after school with Mrs. McGlashan in room 612 until 3:45 p.m. every other Tuesday. MathCounts students will have a full practice and engage with MC concepts and problems during SMML math team practice. ART OPEN STUDIO
This club takes place every Wednesday after school until 3:45 p.m. Space is limited to 20 students so we ask that you sign up prior to participating each week. STRATEGY GAMES CLUB
All MSK students are invited to come and play a variety of strategy games such as, chess, Risk, Stratego, Moncala, Pandemic and others. Students are encouraged to bring any non-electronic board game or cards they would like to share as well. This club takes place on Wednesdays after school in Mr. Coleman’s classroom (room 710). CIVIL RIGHTS TEAM
This team typically meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month from 2:15 - 3:45 p.m. in room 612 with Mrs. McGlashan as the advisor. The Civil Rights Team is a club that will engage our school community in thinking and talking about issues related to race and skin color, national origin and ancestry, religion, disabilities, gender (including gender identity and expression), and sexual orientation. GIRLS WHO CODE CLUB
This girls only club aims to close the gender gap in technology. Girls learn to build apps, design games, build websites, and develop friendships through code. IMPROVISATION (IMPROV) CLUB
This club is open to all students and is for those interested in learning more about the basics of improv. No experience required, just have fun while learning a specialized form of acting without scripts in a group setting.
