Dear Parents and Guardians: It’s time to order your MSK yearbook.  Don’t miss out! 7th & 8th Grade Dance hosted by the Acadia Team:

Friday, March 29 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.  The cost is $5.00 and snacks and beverages are available for purchase.

8th Grade Community Service Projects:

American Red Cross Blood Drive Awareness in York County:

Emily Mains is raising awareness for blood drives in York county. Please see this link for a blood drive near you. Please support the American Red Cross and consider donating blood.

Donate New or Gently-Used Board and Card Games:

Ayden Caston, Nicco Valentino, and Will Watkinson will be collecting new and gently-used board and card games to donate to a homeless shelter as part of their community service project.  Donation boxes will be located in the lobby and 8th grade wing.

Tech For Tanzania:

For her community service project, Kylie Parsons is collecting old technology.  It will be sent and used in a health center in an underprivileged village in Tanzania.  She is collecting outdated cell phones, tablets, and laptops. A collection box is in the office.

Instrument Drive:

Andrew, Fletcher, and Jamie will be having an upcoming instrument drive courtesy of our Community Service Project. We are hoping that you can help by donating unused instruments in your possession to our upcoming drive so we can donate these to students who don’t have or have access to their own instrument.


Homework Help runs every Monday-Wednesday that school is in session from 2:15 until the late bus. Students are required to stay the entire time until 3:45 unless a parent calls the main office to dismiss them early. Homework Help advisor, Nicole Desjardins can be reached at with questions.  


The 8th Annual CLYNK for Schools Recycling Challenge continues through March 22.  Please turn your Clynk bags in before March 22nd and help us earn extra funds. We will continue to collect Clynk for the remainder of the year, but during this challenge period, we get an extra percentage.

CLYNK bags are available at the office with tags already applied. Fill the CLYNK bags, take your bags to any Hannaford, then scan each bag with the hand scanner and place your bags inside the unlocked door at any Hannaford/CLYNK bottle return location. PLEASE HELP YOURSELF TO CLYNK BAGS ANY TIME YOU VISIT MSK!


A variety of clubs start up at different times throughout the school year depending on student and staff interests.  We will announce club opportunities as they start up both in this weekly bulletin and through student announcements during the school day.  Stay tuned!


Do you like to challenge yourself? Do you like to counter an argument? Are you interested in current affairs? If so, you might be curious to try the Debate Club. This club is open to all students and meets on Tuesdays after school in room 805.  Mr. Bibeau is the advisor and can be reached at with questions.


The Civil Rights Team is a club that engages our school community in thinking and talking about issues related to race and skin color, national origin and ancestry, religion, disabilities, gender (including gender identity and expression), and sexual orientation.  Please email Mrs. McGlashan at with questions.


All MSK students are invited to come and play a variety of strategy games such as, chess, Risk, Stratego, Mancala, Pandemic etc., but you must sign up on the sheet posted outside of Mr. Coleman’s room as there is a limit to how many can attend. Students are encouraged to bring any non-electronic board game or cards they would like to share as well. This club takes place on Wednesdays after school in Mr. Coleman’s classroom - 710. Student Council is open to all students in grades 6-8 and we welcome new members. The next student council meeting dates are: Tuesday, April 2 and Tuesday, April 30 at 7:00 a.m. The advisors are Mrs. Thomson and Mrs. Grant and they can be reached at and with questions.
