VACCINE REQUIREMENTS FOR 2019-2020 7TH GRADERS
There is a now a meningococcal meningitis vaccine and tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis booster (Tdap)  requirement that impacts all students entering grade 7th grade in the fall. In order to provide documentation that your child has received both required vaccinations, ask your healthcare provider to fax a copy of your child’s immunization record to the school.  The fax number is: 207-467-9059.

The law does not provide for a grace period. Proof of vaccination must be received prior to the first day of the 2019-2020 school year.  A parent may submit a written request for an exemption from this requirement for medical or sincere religious or philosophical beliefs. A medical exemption also requires documentation from a healthcare provider.  You should contact your child’s healthcare provider now to discuss this and/or arrange an appointment.

If you have any questions or need to verify if your child requires proof of vaccination, please email the school nurse, Michelle Taggart at mtaggart@rsu21.net.

CLYNK
CLYNK bags are always available at the office with tags already applied (even during the summer months). Fill the CLYNK bags and take your bags to any Hannaford/CLYNK bottle return location. PLEASE HELP YOURSELF TO CLYNK BAGS AT THE MAINE OFFICE ANY TIME YOU VISIT MSK!
