Kindergarteners at MLD learned a little about scientific method today in the STEM lab! We introduced the big words hypothesis, observation, and conclusion. These 6 year-old-scientists then put their new knowledge to use when they conducted their first real science experiment! Students formed a hypothesis about what would happen to jelly beans if placed in water for 15 minutes. They also made predictions about what might happen to the water. Like real scientists, they observed what they saw, recorded their data, and constructed a conclusion sentence. Our kindergarteners LOVE a challenge!
