New Principal Nominee for Sea Road School

Following an extensive search process, we are pleased to nominate Cory Steere as our unanimous choice for the position of Sea Road School Principal. Mr. Steere is completing his 25th year in public education, having taught general and special education grades 4-8. The last 16 of those years he taught grades 4-6 at Sea Road School before serving for one year as Interim Principal at Mildred L. Day School and three years Assistant Principal at Middle School of the Kennebunks. Mr. Steere holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of New England and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern Maine. He completed his year-long Principal Internship under Dr. Stephen Marquis in 2014-15. When offered the nomination, Mr. Steere said, I am honored to be the next principal of Sea Road School. While I have really enjoyed the middle school, this is the exact place I want to lead. In many ways, I feel I have come full circle." Cory Steere's nomination will be presented to the RSU 21 School Board of Directors on June 4th for approval.
