We are pleased to announce that a candidate for Assistant Principal at KHS will go to the School Board for approval on Monday night.
William (Will) Putnam is currently the International Baccalaureate Coordinator, English Department Teacher Leader, and National Honor Society Advisor at Gray-New Gloucester High School. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Saint Joseph's College, teaching two courses: "Standards-based Curriculum" and "The Standards Driven Classroom". Will recently served on the NEASC Accreditation Team at Poland High School and has worked extensively with Gray-New Gloucester Middle School on vertical alignment.
Will is entering his 16th year in education, having served as a Special Education Teacher at Good Will-Hinckley for 4 years and 11 years in Gray-New Gloucester. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Teaching English and Theatre, a Master Degree in Abilities and Disabilities, and a Certificate in IB Program Coordination. In addition to his Assistant Principal certification, Will is certified to teach English in grades 7-12, Special Education in birth to grade 12, and Gifted and Talented in grades K-12. He lives in Kennebunk with his wife and young children. Will's wife grew up here and his daughter attends Kennebunkport Consolidated School.
