In a real collaboration between our MLDay school community and our second graders, Mrs. Saunders' and Mrs. Chadbourne's STEM classes joined forces to enter the Carton 2 Garden contest. This project challenged our "Gardeneers" to design and construct a garden using 100 recycled milk cartons. After much imagination and planning, students decided to build a vertical herb and flower garden. With Mr. Woodcock's help, their blueprints and ideas came to life! Winners of the contest will be announced on Earth Day in April, and we'll be sure to keep you posted. In the meantime, we'll be busy sharing our seedlings with our MLDay cafeteria, Bradford Common residents, and every classroom in our school. We hope to even plant some near the playground come spring!
